You Can’t Steal My Happy (YCSMH) is an experience company, not a traditional travel company. Here’s what makes us unique:
• We aim to be travelers, not tourists.
• YCSMH is a community of people who prioritize travel in their lives.
• We focus on providing good value, drama-free travel.

Who Should Come on a YCSMH Trip?
We welcome solo travelers, couples, families, and groups. Please—no divas, egos, or complainers. Yes, you might see bugs. Yes, things don’t always go as planned. But YES—your trip will be awesome!
Many of our happy travelers are airline employees, entrepreneurs, innovators, and people simply figuring life out. We are solo-traveler friendly and do not charge excessive single supplement rates. In fact, many of our solo travelers meet fellow solos and become lifelong travel buddies!
Traveler Eligibility Requirements:
• Children under 14 years old are not permitted on YCSMH trips.
• Travelers must be physically capable of walking at least 5 miles per day, unassisted.
• Travelers with significant mobility impairments who cannot meet this requirement are not eligible.
• YCSMH does not assign roommates. Solo travelers are responsible for securing their own roommate if they do not wish to room alone
Cancellation & Transfer Policy
Group Trip Cancellations (by YCSMH):
If YCSMH cancels a group trip, you may choose between:
• A full refund, or
• Transferring your payment to another trip.
The decision to cancel will be made by YCSMH in consultation with our local partners.
Cancellations by Traveler:
• Deposits
◦ $500 deposit (or $1,000 for private trips) secures your spot, unless otherwise stated.
◦ Deposits are 100% non-refundable for trips that include airfare or visas.
◦ On trips without airfare or visas, deposits are refundable minus a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel more than 120 days before departure and we are able to find a replacement traveler.
• More Than 120 Days Before Departure (Trips Without Airfare/Visas):
◦ If you cancel and we can find a replacement, you will be refunded minus a $100 cancellation fee.
◦ If a replacement cannot be found, all payments are non-refundable.
• Within 120 Days of Departure (All Trips):
◦ All payments are 100% non-refundable, even if a replacement is found.
• Responsibility for Finding a Replacement:
◦ YCSMH may assist in finding a replacement, but the responsibility ultimately rests with the traveler.
◦ A $100 fee applies due to the significant time and effort required to onboard a replacement.
Payment Schedule:
• Final balances are due 120 days before departure (unless otherwise stated).
• Failure to pay on time will result in forfeiture of your deposit and release of your reserved spot
Deposits & Refunds
• Group trips: $500 deposit to secure your spot (unless otherwise stated).
• Private trips: $1,000 minimum deposit.
• Balances due 120 days before departure.
• Missing your final payment deadline forfeits your deposit and your seat
Flights
• Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights.
• International flights are never included in YCSMH prices.
• Each trip provides flight booking instructions with arrival/departure dates and nearest
airports.
• Arrivals or departures outside designated group times may result in additional
transportation costs.

Travel Insurance
• Travel medical insurance is recommended for all travelers. If required, it will be stated for that trip.
• Minimum recommended coverage: USD $200,000 for emergency evacuation and repatriation.
• Proof of coverage must be provided before departure. Failure to provide this will result in removal with no reimbursement.
Recommended Add-On: Trip Cancellation Insurance
Helps protect your investment by covering:
• Pre-trip illness or accidents preventing travel
• Unexpected hospitalization
• Medical evacuation
• Death in the family
• Lost luggage or delayed flights
• Stolen passports
• Lost or damaged gear
Typical Costs:
• Medical-only: $50–$150 per person (based on age & trip length).
• Comprehensive: $100–$200 per person (based on trip cost, duration, and age).
Safety
Your safety is a priority. Our guides are experienced (often local) and familiar with the destinations we visit. While precautions are always advised, YCSMH does not take travelers anywhere we wouldn’t go ourselves.
Community & Tipping
Our suppliers are like family to us. To maintain strong local partnerships, we require travelers to tip guides and drivers(usually $100 per traveler, but exact amounts will be provided).
• Happy Ambassadors do not accept personal tips—our community is built on friendship, not transactions.
• If you wish to show appreciation, consider giving them a small gift or offering to buy them a drink.
Itinerary Flexibility
Our itineraries are carefully designed, but subject to change due to weather, transportation delays, safety concerns, or local partner adjustments. Such changes do not entitle travelers to a refund.
Behavior & Dismissal Clause
Respectful and safe behavior is expected at all times. Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful actions toward guides, fellow travelers, or locals may result in removal from the trip at the traveler’s expense, without refund.
Passport & Visa Responsibility
• Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
• Travelers are responsible for obtaining required visas unless otherwise stated (e.g., Bhutan visas handled by YCSMH).
• YCSMH is not liable for denied entry due to documentation issues.
Rooming & Single Supplements
• All accommodations are private rooms—you will never share a room with someone you did not book with.
• If you prefer extra space or upgraded accommodations, you may request a single occupancy room for an additional cost, subject to availability.
Force Majeure (Events Beyond Control)
YCSMH is not responsible for interruptions or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, war, civil unrest, or government restrictions. Refunds are not guaranteed, but we will make every effort to reschedule or provide credit toward a future trip.
Photography & Media Release
By participating, you grant YCSMH permission to use photos and videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes, unless you provide written notice opting out.
Payment Processing & Fees
• All payments must be made by credit card or debit card.
• YCSMH covers all transaction and processing fees—no extra charges for travelers.
