The Dominican Tree House Village is like something out of a dream. The Tree House Cabins are spread across a beautiful valley that is safely tucked away in the heart of the tropical Caribbean jungle. The cabins are connected by various rope bridges and jungle paths that are all designed to emphasize and enhance an intimate connection with nature and separation from the modern world. The valley is breezy and virtually mosquito free which allows our guests to be able to comfortably enjoy the open-air design. Get lost as you explore winding garden paths, take a dip in the pool, and get cozy by the fire. Find your perfect state of Zen as you practice yoga in our yoga studio, lounge in our hammocks and swinging chairs, and breathe in the fresh jungle air. Treat your taste buds to fresh piña coladas at the bar and delicious fresh-cooked meals each night. This little-known tropical jungle hideaway is our Neverland, and has a magical way of making you feel right at home. The treehouse's all have private showers and toilets. Please note the treehouse's do not have warm water but there are several onsite private shower rooms within a 3 minute walk that you are welcome to use that offer warm showers. The lack of warm water was not an issue at all for any of our guests on our 2019 trip. Temperatures during the day average between 80-84 and the evenings average around 70-72. Fans are provided in each room.
Located in the heart of the Samaná Peninsula, the Dominican Tree House Village is at the center of what is considered to be one of the safest and most beautiful places in all of the Dominican Republic. Samaná is widely recognized as being “the best-kept-secret” of the island, featuring spectacular world-class beaches and lush, mountainous landscapes that have remained relatively quiet and untouched by tourism
The local beach is no exception and is a refreshing escape from the crowded beaches you find at typical all-inclusive resorts. A short bike-ride away, El Valle beach is a secluded and incredibly tranquil beach that you’ll most likely share only with local fisherman and a handful of other Tree House guests.
While at the Tree House, guests have the option to schedule and participate in a wide range of activities that are designed to maximize fun, sightseeing, and adventure: horseback riding to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of the Caribbean, off-roading on ATV’s alongside beautiful marble cliffs to one of the top 10 beaches in the world, zip lining along the Caribbean’s tallest, longest and highest rated zip line, hiking and canyoneering to local waterfalls and various cascading pools, whale-watching, cave exploring, cliff jumping, spear fishing, paddle-boarding, and snorkeling.
Dominicans are an incredibly laid back and fun-loving people in general, and no matter where you go here you’ll be greeted by friendly people and smiling faces. But here the staff is composed of some of the friendliest and best Dominicans you could ever hope to meet. Unlike typical resorts where the staff is purely there to serve you, here the staff are part of the main attraction – you meet them on their level, play games with them, and get to know their world. The result is an authentic cultural experience that will truly enrich your life.
Everyone onboard is 100% committed to making your vacation the best experience ever and you really feel that love radiate throughout the village. By the time you leave, you’ll have made lifelong friends and you’ll forever be a part of the Tree House family.
