5 nights/6 days for $700 for shared room or $850 for private room. I have secured all 10 rooms at El Carmen del Pinar in Armenia, Colombia. The hotel is located on a 12 acre family-owned, former working coffee and macadamia nut farm. Armenia is surrounded by beautiful mountains in the heart of Colombia's coffee region and you will be welcomed by friendly people with warm smiles. This package includes tours of a coffee plantations, horseback riding through the Cocora Valley, a unique bike and rail adventure, authentic Colombian meals, botanical gardens and shopping in the historic town of Filandia. There are also 3 certified massage therapist on property that can work out all your sore spots. (Massage treatments start out at $35 an hour) Monica Dannas is one of the owners of the El Carmen del Pinar, and also a LAX based flight attendant. If you enjoy laughing, dancing, exploring, and adventure then this trip is for you. Please no drama queens or kings!!! Bring a friend or family member, but make sure they are just as happy as you! Day 1) Arrive into Armenia (AXM) or Pereira (PEI) See getting there for the airlines that fly to both of these airports. WELCOME TO CARMEN DEL PINAR RELAX, UNPACK, TAKE A SWIM AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME! DINNER IN THE EVENING AND A FOLKLORIC DANCE SHOW TYPICAL OF COLOMBIAN CULTURE.

Day 2) HORSEBACK RIDING IN THE BEAUTIFUL COCORA VALLEY. JEEP “WILLY” RIDE BACK TO THE PICTURESQUE TOWN OF SALENTO. ENJOY SHOPPING, PEOPLE WATCHING, VISITING CAFÉ’S, DRINK A CERVEZA HAVE DINNER AT ONE OF THE BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANTS.
Enjoy complimentary breakfast. Fresh squeezed juice daily along with breads, eggs and of course COFFEE!!! First two stops of the day are Salento and Cocora Valley. Honestly one of the most beautiful places on earth! We will arrive in Salento’s town square and take a Jeep Willy to Cocora Valley. There we will horseback ride through a gorgeous giant palm forest and possibly along the river. Hiking is also an option if you’d rather not horseback ride. This is in a cloud forest, so there’s a chance that it may be cooler and possibly rainy. You can leave your stuff, like change of clothes, in the van. Afterwards, we’ll head back to Salento. Do your own exploring and shopping! You’ll love the restaurants, cafes, specialty shops and people watching. I’ll be available to play a game of “Tejo” with the locals at the local pool hall.

Day 3) BOTANICAL GARDEN (my favorite botanical gardens in the world) and Filandia
In the morning we will depart for the Botanical gardens. This is a beautiful, gorgeous place were you’ll see exotic birds, flowers, and trees. After our visit we will then depart for the beautiful mountain town Filandia. Filandia is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Towns that you’ll fall in love with! The town has excellent restaurants and unique shopping.

Day 4) GRANJA EXTREMA (EXTREME RANCH) RAIL BIKING THROUGH COFFEE PLANTATIONS, TROPICAL FLOWERS AND SUGAR CANE FIELDS
This is one of my favorite places! Don Raul bought a finca, found an abandoned railroad track and built bike platforms so you can pedal through this one of a kind place! You may see a howler monkey or two. We’ll meet Barbie and Don Raul’s other International horses in paso doble. Lunch will be served, enjoy the pool, the games, play volleyball and check out the farmyard animals. This place is one of a kind.

Day 5) Recuca coffee tour and CASAROMA AND HERENCIA Y CAFE
Tour a beautiful coffee farm and learn all about the growth and processing for which Colombia is famous, this process hasn’t changed in 150 years and is part of what is known as the “Coffee Culture”. After our coffee tour we’ll visit Casaroma and enjoy a full day of partying, relaxing, schedule a massage and learn about the work we’re doing to make (Quindio) Armenia a eco-sustainable destination with emphasis on helping the local people maintain their cultural identity and be able to thrive.

Covid Entry Requirements for Colombia
- All passengers need to fill out the online immigration form called “Check-Mig” between 24 hours and 1 hour before the flight. Here is the link for check mig https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/public/preregistro.jsf
- At this time no covid PCR testing is required to enter Colombia.
- All arrivals will undergo a health screening, which will include temperature scans.
- Trip insurance. (Medical insurance which is very inexpensive)
Getting to Armenia, Colombia
The easiest way to get to Armenia is to fly into Pereira (PEI) from Miami. That flight runs 3 times a week. The other option is to fly into Bogota(BOG). There are 4 daily 30 minute nonstop flights on Avianca from Bogota (BOG) to Armenia (AXM) and also Pereira. Spirit Air also flies from Fort Lauderdale to Armenia 3 times a week. The hotel is 15 minutes from Armenia airport, and 50 minutes from Pereira. Airport transfers are included in your package.
Terms and Conditions
Both the $100 deposit and $700 balance paid 60 days before the trip are NON REFUNDABLE. If you do cancel and I can find another person to take your spot I will refund you your monies paid. Pre payments are required months in advance to secure hotel rooms and tours. Everyone who attends a You Can't Steal My Happy Trip is required to sign an electronic liability release form.
