$1200 per person shared room only. Happy in Tahiti takes place on the beautiful island of Moorea October 17th-22nd 2019. Voted as the third best island in the world by Conde Nast, the island of Moorea boasts world class beaches, hiking, snorkeling and diving. I have secured all 9 rooms at the Linareva Beach Resort which is ranked as the number one place to stay on Trip Adviser for small resorts/inns. http://www.linareva.com. This small resort offers travelers an authentic Tahitian island self catering experience away from all the tourist resorts. Some of the rooms can accommodate 3 and 4 persons which are great for family and friends. Each bungalow has a refrigerator, gas burning stove, and air conditioning. There is excellent snorkeling directly from the beach front where you can swim with turtles, rays and black tip sharks. This trip is geared toward fun, nature loving, adventure seekers. Great restaurants and small stores are located near our happy little resort! Many of the restaurants will also provide a complimentary pick up/drop off service. As many of you know, Tahiti can be very expensive with accommodations averaging $300-$1000 per night and tours setting you back another $100- $200 a day. By staying at small, local accommodations and visiting Moorea just after peak season, we can offer you this fantastic package at an affordable price. We have some amazing active excursions included - a 4X4 off road island tour, a snorkeling excursion and an island BBQ . If you are a dive enthusiast you can take advantage of the dive shop located near the resort. The dive shop also offers special introductory classes for beginners who have always wanted to give diving a try. This is an active trip for fun minded people. If you enjoy laughing, dancing, exploring and adventure, then this trip is for you. Bring a family member or friend, but make sure they are fun!

Getting To Moorea
Flying from the USA, your only choices are Air Tahiti Nui (TN) or Air France (AF) from Los Angeles (LAX), or Hawaiian Airlines (HA) from Honolulu (HNL) once a week. Once you arrive to Papeete (PPT) take a taxi or shuttle to Papeete Waterfront.
Two companies -- Aremiti (tel. 50.57.57; http://www.aremiti.net) and Terevau http://www.terevau.pf- run ferries between the Papeete waterfront and Vaiare, a small bay on Moorea's east coast. It can seem like madness when the boats arrive and depart at the wharves, so take your time and be sure to get on one of the fast catamarans, which take 30 minutes to cover the 19km (12 miles) between the islands. The one-way fare on any ferry, whether fast or slow, is about 900CFP (US$11).Since the departure times change from day to day, I usually pick up a schedule at the ferry dock and carry it with me throughout my visit. In general, one or another of them departs Papeete about 6am, 7:30am, 9am, noon, 2:40pm, 4:05pm, and 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with extra voyages on Friday and Monday (Moorea is a popular weekend retreat for Papeete residents). Weekend hours are slightly different on each ferry.
