What to Pack
https://localadventurer.com/what-to-pack-for-istanbul-turkey/

What type of Adaptor do I need?
In Turkey the power plugs and sockets are of type F. Check out the following pictures. When living in the United States of America you need a power plug adapter for sockets type F.

Money in Turkey
Make sure you download a money convertor app like XE currency. You can bring US dollars and exchange them for Turkish Lira at numerous locations. I always use ATMs when I travel as they are readily accessible.  Remember when the ATM asks you if you want to exchange the rate in your home currency, always press No. You can also use credit cards at most restaurants and stores.
As of today 1 Turkish lira is worth .67 cents.

Tipping
You should tip at least 10% at restaurants. If you purchase a meal with a credit card then leave the waiter the tip in Turkish lira. In most cases you cannot add the tip on credit card transactions so always have Lira with you. Our guide will be with us for 9 days and it recommended that you set aside $8-$10 per day. On the last day of the trip we will pass along an envelope and present it to the guide. Should you wish to tip extra beyond the recommended rate you can give extra tips directly to the guide.

2- Passengers who submit a document issued by the relevant country’s official authorities stating that they have had the virus within the last 6 months. The 6-month period starts from the 28th day of the first PCR positive test result; and
3- Passengers who, before entering Türkiye, present a negative PCR test result received within the last 72 hours or a negative rapid antigen test taken within the last 48 hours

Again, don't overpack for this trip. Laundry service is available at our hotels.
Great video to avoid scams (Turkey is very safe, but where there are tourists there are scammers. Uber is the best way to get around)
